Conceived and organized by the cultural associations “Marco Polo Multivisioni” and “Il Parallelo Multivisioni”, the festival was born in 1996 with the specific intention of spreading multivision, to introduce a wide public to this artistic expression.

The first Festival was held in the theatre “Giuseppe Maffioli” in Caerano San Marco (Treviso). It alternated programs in the categories of travel, nature, and current affairs realized by authors coming not only from throughout Italy, but also some from abroad.

A definite affirmation of the first festival’s success comes with the second edition of Fantadia in 1997, where the purpose of the organizers was to show the great potential of this medium. Still based in the theatre “Maffioli” in Caerano San Marco, they screened programs from pure artistic expression of great poetry to commercial and educational multivisions to museum installations, and added spectacular architectural projections using the spaces and places offered by “Villa Benzi Zecchini”.

The Quick Entry window is just a keystroke away – systemwide from any application.

The Ladies The Gents

LILY ASHTON – 20-25
Sweet-faced wife to Lord Charles Ashton and mother to three children. Lily was bred to be ruled by the men in her life, though she has a tendency to bare-faced cheek in the face of authority which she can’t (or won’t) control. Such spirit is regarded as a weakness to be mastered yet it’s her natural curiosity that instigates the journey of the series.

CHARLES ASHTON – 28-30
Husband to Lily and old friend to Richard Burton, Charles is arrogant but with an easy charm and loyalty to his friends that allows him to carry it off. He has moved his family to Melbourne to oversee family investments in the hope of staving off the decline of his family’s fortune. Charles is the epitome of a Victorian gentleman of the ruling class with a deeply held belief in the conventions of home, family and the surety of his birthright. Despite this, he also believes himself to be a modern thinker. It is this clash of ideas that will lead to the implosion of his marriage and friendships as the series continues.

DOCTOR EDWARD WILKIE – 30-35
Un-ambitious society doctor, frustrated scientist and husband to Eleanor. Edward and Eleanor’s marriage was conceived as a way to shore up Edward’s family’s ailing fortunes and although there was some affection between the two at first this has now cooled under the weight of Eleanor’s expectations. Edward has come to Australia at his wife’s suggestion to take advantage of the economic boom, though he continues to be beset by failure.

The Ladies

CLARA PYRMONT – 30-35
Strikingly beautiful, elegant society woman, close friend to Lily and wife to a representative of Her Majesty in the colonies. Clara’s poise conceals strong sensual appetites, which she indulges in secret. She and her husband allow each other much more freedom than other couples of the day. They are childless by choice.

EMILY SHAW – 30-35
Sharp-witted, sharp-featured society woman. Close friend to Lily, Clara and Joanna and wife to another Imperial representative. While she seems weary of society’s petty obsessions, she’s also the epitome of the perfect upper class wife – patient, stable and constantly pregnant.

JOANNA GROVE – 19
The youngest member of Lily’s ‘set’ and fiancé to Clarence Knight-Browne. Joanna is baby-faced, naive and eager to please her older counterparts yet the trials she will face as Lady Knight-Browne will reveal a talent for deviousness and calculation that go beyond her seeming fragility.

The Gents

CLARENCE KNIGHT-BROWNE – 20-25
Pretty, blonde young aristocrat and the youngest member of Charles’s ‘set’. Clarence is the product of an ancient English family who are attempting to sew the seeds of a dynasty in the colony to supplant the one that is crumbling back at home. The conflict between Clarence’s familial responsibilities and his emerging homosexuality will become explosive as the series continues.

BENNET ARNOLD – 27-29
Self-effacing and sensitive member of Charles’s ‘set’. Bennet’s ambition to be an artist was long ago shelved in favour of becoming an influential museum director and curator after great pressure from his family and he has travelled to Melbourne with the hope of putting the National Gallery of Victoria on the map. When this career is derailed as a result of the misjudged Pompeii exhibit, Bennet seizes the opportunity to immerse himself in Melbourne’s underworld.

RICHARD BURTON – 40s
Renowned explorer, sensualist and real-life translator and publisher of the Kama Sutra. While Burton is cherished by sections of polite society, he’s also an iconoclast and it is this that frequently gets him into hot water. Burton has travelled to Australia to try and secure support for the publication of the Kama Sutra and it is this, as well as pre-occupation with matters sexual that will prompt the end of his long-held friendship with Charles.

In the 1880s, the vibrator was invented. During this period many doctors believed women suffered from a serious condition known as ‘Hysteria’. This terrible disease was characterized by over 70 symptoms including shallow breathing or elongation of the nose!

In the 1880s, the vibrator was invented. During this period many doctors believed women suffered from a serious condition known as ‘Hysteria’. This terrible disease was characterized by over 70 symptoms including shallow breathing or elongation of the nose!

In severe cases treatments would involve doctors having to stimulate the clitoris by hand until women ‘released’ the hysteria. While the treatment was effective initially, the symptoms would often recur, forcing patients back to their doctors. To make matters worse, as the diagnosis gained notoriety, more women seemed to develop the symptoms. When doctors reported that some patients could take up to 45 minutes to release the ‘hysteria’ a ‘vibrating machine’ was developed to increase productivity. For doctors it was a boon – for women it opened up a Pandora’s box…

Welcome to the world of THE LADIES HOME COMPANION where a naïve upper-class housewife in 1880s Melbourne becomes the covert developer and distributor of the world’s first vibrator. When Lily Ashton is diagnosed with ‘Hysteria’ and prescribed a course of ‘genital stimulation’ to produce ‘paroxysm’ (read orgasm) to relieve the symptoms, she is catapulted into a new world. Lily undergoes a quiet evolution. Bored, frustrated and thousands of miles from home Lily dares to explore the possibilities of sexual pleasure and soon how to give, receive and control it. She becomes a clandestine entrepreneur, secretly developing and selling the vibrator to Melbourne’s ex-patriot society housewives and instigating a rebellion under the very noses of Australia’s new male ruling class.

The Ladies Home Companion Setting

Melbourne in 1883 is one of the richest cities in the world, enjoying the spoils of the Gold Rush and an extraordinary Land Boom. It is a city of contrasts, where prostitutes rub shoulders with the powerful, and where those who are born wealthy, jostle for supremacy with the self-made men of the Colony.

This series takes us from the pristine surrounds of the Ashton’s home – Airlie House on Domain Road in South Yarra, which still exists today – to the Athenaeum Club on Collins Street, one of the oldest in the Colony. At Airlie House we watch Lily struggle to meet the standards of ‘successful wife’ as set down by the popular advice books of the day, while Charles, escapes to the Ath, where Club Tradition fiercely upholds Man’s right to a haven away from his domestic world.

From here we move to Madame Brussel’s brothel on Lonsdale Street, where the notorious Madame caters to Charles and his friends’ more adventurous sexual appetites, away from the chaste routine with their wives and from there to the National Gallery of Victoria, founded in 1861. It is here we watch Bennet (a member of Charles’s ‘set’) throw the future of Australia’s oldest public art gallery into doubt when he has a collection of rare and lewd Pompeian artefacts shipped from Europe, scandalising all of Melbourne society.

We pick up our story in “1943” (but not as we know it) and the world it is about to be thrown into World War 4. This will not be a war against brothers, this time the world fights an army of Mortis. The Mortis are machines designed to be the ultimate pleasure toy. Once the slaves of man, the Mortis became self-aware and rebelled. Their leader (The Mortis Queen) found a way to make herself immortal and is responsible for the time loop trapping the human race. The only thing standing between The Mortis and total destruction are our stories unlikely “heroes”.

Despite local storm warnings, Rob and Pia set out boating and become lost in a mangrove swamp. As darkness sets in, they come ashore on French Island and – like Goldilocks – find shelter in an old farmhouse, where Rob soon discovers a shed full of hydroponic dope.

The couple are besieged by the house’s three occupants – a rum-soaked psychopath named Poppy and his two homicidal adult sons, Jimmy and Brett. The city couple realize they’re in deep trouble and it quickly becomes obvious that they won’t get out alive unless they take matters into their own hands. After Brett breaks Rob’s legs to prevent escape, it’s left to Pia to scrounge through the barn for the implements to build several horrific man-traps, and before the night is finished the three dope-growers are very, very sorry they ever messed with Pia Brewer.

The Bank Job movie is based on the 1971 Baker Street robbery in central London, from which the money and valuables stolen were never recovered. In September 1971, thieves tunneled into the vault of a bank in London’s Baker Street and looted safe deposit boxes of cash and jewelry worth over three million pounds.

None of it was recovered. Nobody was ever arrested. The robbery made headlines for a few days and then disappeared – the result of a ‘D’ Notice, gagging the press. This film reveals what was hidden for the first time. The story involves murder, corruption and a sex scandal with links to the Royal Family – a story in which the thieves were the most innocent people involved.
